Time flies when you are having fun! There are now over 400 station groups and over 4000 stations in RNP. So that means, on average, over 100 stations a month have been added.
A few broadcasters have helped along the way. Some have simply answered a question or two others have given some pointers on their APIs and one, Nation Broadcasting, even wrote a new API for me to use.
Usually I do not need to contact the broadcaster at all - because it is evident from their web pages how their Now Playing information works. It is not always straight-forward though.

One enhancement that I made to RNP was to allow the configuration of grabbing JSON data that is held within a script inside a web page and another was to parse simple HTML pages themselves.
This sort of thing is liable to stop working in the future as broadcaster's web sites are updated but if/when that happens I tend to hear about it fairly quickly via the LMS community forum if the station is popular.
If you use LMS (now Lyrion Music Server rather than Logitech Media Server) and have some favourite radio stations that play well but lack song info or cover art then let me know and I will see what I can do.
